Who are those guys?

On the trail in South West France...

You don't need to be a 'Lord Baltimore' (the renowned Native American tracker from the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) to be able to identify and follow the footprints of wild animals in the Limousin. You'll be helped by the sandy soil and the odd shower to spot all sorts of paw marks.

Mammals small and large abound so to help the 'spore spotter' I've created a guide to animal tracks for young and not so young visitors. The guide was inspired by the 1960's I-SPY books and many happy holidays in Devon and North Wales where it seemed every kid had an I-SPY book and like me a West Midlands accent! So ask for your free copy when you arrive and get tracking!

(I found the examples below - pine marten and roe deer - within a couple of minutes walk from our B&B in Beaumont du Lac).
